Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Collection
October 26 (Sunday) - November 23 (Sunday)
Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. Since 1993, more than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered across the globe! People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas--Jesus Christ. Gift-filled shoe boxes are due at CLF no later than Sunday morning, November 23. YOU can make it possible for a hurting child to be introduced to Jesus Christ--the best Christmas present ever!
Choir Rehearsals Resume
November 5 (Wednesday) - January 1 (Thursday)
The CLF Choir has resumed rehearsals on Wednesday evenings for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. All students and adults, both men and women, are welcome to come to rehearsals which are held from 7:30-8:30 PM on Wednesday evenings. This ministry opportunity is a short-term commitment--only a few weeks. If you have time for a short-term ministry, please come and join the fun, fellowship and music at CLF Choir! The dates the choir will sing for Sunday morning services will be announced at the 1st choir rehearsal. If you have any questions, please contact Lynne Miller at 387-4443.
Taste of the Holidays
November 22 (Saturday) - 2:00 PM
Ladies!! Please join us for CLF's first TASTE OF THE HOLIDAYS. This event will feature fellowship, a holiday craft, and a taste of all our holiday favorites. We are asking all women participating to give a copy of their favorite holiday recipes to Gracia Plehn, Shirley Elford, or Becky Brath by Sunday, November 16th. Then bring that prepared recipe with you to sample during this special time of fellowship! We will all have a booklet of all the holiday recipes submitted to take with us. Expect other "surprises" as well!
Mayville Community Thanksgiving Service
November 26 (Wednesday) - 7:00 PM
Christian Life Fellowship church will host the Community Thanksgiving service on Wednesday, November 26 at 7:00pm. There will be NO other midweek activities at CLF that evening, and everyone is encouraged to attend this joint service. If you are interested in singing in the combined choir, please indicate that on the Connection Card by your name with a "CC" for community choir. Make plans to come to this wonderful celebration of Thanksgiving with your friends and family.
Adult Christmas Dinner
December 5 (Friday) - 5:30 PM
The annual Adult Christmas dinner will be held on Friday,December 5th at 5:30 PM at the Audubon Inn in Mayville. The cost for the meal including dessert, tip and tax is $17.25. Tickets may be purchased on Sunday, November 16 and Sunday, November 23 at which time you may choose one of three entrees. A White Elephant gift exchange will be held for those who wish to participate.
