Membership Information
Why Does Christian Life offer membership?
In the New Testament, believers clearly identified themselves with a specific local group of like minded individuals and were challenged to become committed participants.
Christian Life Fellowship believes it is important to identify the core that can be counted on. Membership is one measure leaders at CLF use to determine whether our mission of helping people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ is being accomplished.
Among the many reasons for becoming a member, most important are the ways membership benefits the individual. Becoming a member is a spiritual step which involves moving a person beyond having good intentions into the area of committed participation. The membership process can be a significant "defining moment" in a Christian's lifelong discipleship journey. The Process of becoming an active member at CLF
- Investigation - A prospective member completes the three classes exploring membership. The classes cover doctrine (Biblical foundations for faith), government and expectations. Sets of classes are held every 3-4 months.
- Application - A prospective member completes the application for membership and evaluates whether the marks of a devoted follower of Christ are true in his or her life.
- Confirmation - The Church Board acts on the members application, giving confirmation to the work of grace in a prospective members life.
- Celebration - New members are presented at the Sunday morning worship service. The entire fellowship joins in welcoming these new members into the church.
